Lets add some life to this thread. What's everyone's fall ball face-off work look like? Drills, with team, film etc? Or for you guys graduated what was it.
What's the lift session's look like? Anyone got any face-off spec stuff they do?

Hahaha I'll be the first.
For my fall team we do a full field face off drill. We take the face off, then the winning team goes on offense and tries to score. Once a shot is taken its right to the X again. We do that 3 times then switch lines. That's about it for team stuff.
For me I play hockey everyday so there I can't do too much for lifting. I'll do a lot of leg work like squats, dead lifts. At home I'm taking reps whenever I have time. Get the whistle files and my bose sound dock and keep taking them for 30 minutes-hour

I am all about lifting 4 days a week, attending agility sessions held by our school's trainer twice a week, running 3 times a week, and wall ball/shooting/face offs (actual reps and using the whistle files) 4 to 5 times a week.
From all the events and camps I have attended and coached pertaining to facing off, I have noticed that too many kids don't work on their stick skills enough. They all take enough face off reps, but rarely hit the wall. I even need to remind myself constantly. Especially for HS kids, if you win every face off but can't make the pass after picking up your own gb, no college coach will give you any looks.
