I need some tips on how to properly string an OG Blade. I was lucky enough to find one and I have been using it for the spring season. i cant seem to get the ball to properly release. It releases too soon. My shots from any distance greater than 5 to 7 feet go over the goal. Is there something I am missing besides the goal??? I have been working on releasing later but it does not feel right. Someone Please help. P.S. I am using marc mesh and It has not been baked if that matters.

okay my first recommendation is to lost the old school blade. Yes then are great for facing off and all but they are extremely tough to find, very costly when you do find them, and once your in college kind of a pain in the ass to make legal. I use to love them. I recommend trying a NOZ they are very similar to a pinched og blade but legal for college.
Okay onto your real question. Most of the time when a stick isnt throwing right it is because of the sidewall. So if the ball is coming out to early then that means you have too much of a ramp and need to change the sidewalls to give the top portion of the head more of a channel. From what you described that should fix your problem. You just need a little more lip on the head. Now marc mesh is wierd sometimes. Some heads it strings great and the only head I even liked it in was a blade and I had the top kind bagged out but thats just me. Honestly I prefer really broken in semi hard mesh from jima lax.
Anyways good luck, but try out the Noz its surprisingly similar once you break it in a little.

I moved on from the OG blade. I broke two on mine and I couldn't find another one for the right price so I just moved on. Try the Voyce X6. It's not high school legal, but once you are in college they are really cheap, legal and flex like the OG blade.
As for stringing, I do not agree with the above statement. You need more "whip" on your stick not more "lip". Two completely different things in the world of string. One is bad and one is good. Whip is good, Lip is bad. Lip is when the ball hits the top of the scoop, and that propels the ball down. Whip is when you use your shooters to create hold in the pocket which will propel the ball down or up depending on how you string them.
For you since you are throwing up I recommend you tighten your bottom shooter. It you use a U that is. If you go three across or just straight shooters, I recommend you tighten each of them slightly. No need to change your sidewall pattern if the ball isn't coming out left or right.
