people always talk about baking their heads to get an advantage on faceoffs. what are the benefits of doing this? does it make it more nimble, or give it better shape? what are the pros and cons?
Thanks in advance.

I sometimes do it to make my head more flexible. this does help, but also makes it weaker. Ive broken 4 OG Blades because of baking. I just break them in myself now instead of doing something unnatural to it.
I also use it to widen the throat once it collapsed in on itself.

when you use it to widen the throat when it collapses on itself, i assume you take the mesh out?

yea you have to take the mesh out, but depending on whether you use college heads or HS heads you can use either a soup can, hockey puck or a softball or baseball

I bake it at 350 for 5 with 2 hockey pucks in it to widen the throat
